Dallas Comic Con got a big upgrade this year for their 12th anniversary with new owners and a new venue. Samaze was excited to launch our first issue of the Samaze magazine last weekend and even got to help promo DCC on the news.
The Dallas convention center provided over 200,000 sq ft of vendors, lots of movie vehicle replicas, more celebrities for more autographs, photos and panels. There were more than 60,000 fans in attendance to see over 600 exhibits. This year was well organized for being in a new venue. The free guide helped a lot with maps and schedules. There was even an official after party at Gilley's with the talented IG88s. Parking at the convention center was hectic, but the convenience of the Dart rail was a relief.
Celebrities included Robert England, William Shatner, Christopher Lloyd, Alice Cooper, Manu Bennett, the Firefly cast, the Star Trek Next Generation cast, members from the Walking Dead and tons of artists and voice actors. If you missed it there are plenty of pictures and videos circulating, but definitely attend next time around!
