This was the first year for Fan Appreciation Day, hosted by the same Fanexpo that did Dallas Comic Con, and it was awesome! First off the event was FREE, so you got to save all your money for goodies! There were plenty of vendors and artist filling the convention floor with a wide assortment to choose from. Celebrities include Peter Mayhew, Mary Deese-Hampton, James Hampton, Ali Faulkner, Brad Leland, Tim McCanlies, Glenn Morshower, Mike McFarland and cosplayer Krystle Starr. Hopefully this becomes an annual event that introduces more fans to the comic scene that are normally hesitant about the hefty convention ticket prices.
