Location: Cowboys Stadium in Arlington

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao of the Philippines fought Antonio Margarito of Mexico for the WBC World Super Welterweight title. Perhaps one of the most epic fights in boxing history, the fight was held at the massive and legendary Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas. The arena was packed with 41,734 fans! T-shirts were sold, food and drinks was consumed and the crowd was wild with excitement!

This fight was truly a match of skill. By the fourth round, Pacquiao already had a good lead on his opponent. His right hook knocked Margarito's face solid and by the time the bell rang to end the round, Margarito dashed to his corner for ice and first aid. The next few rounds proved that Pacquiao had the lead although Margarito seemed to be laughing in the 8th or 9th round, not sure quite why. Maybe the pain in his face was so strong he was trying to keep pressure on his cheek and eye. His eye was swollen an inch or so from his face. The referee held up two fingers to make sure she was still able to see. By the 10th round, the skin around his eye was cut and bleeding. The stadium was chanting "stop the fight" for fear Pacquiao would knock Margarito's eye out of his skull. In rounds 11 & 12, Pacquiao was definitely holding back on Margarito. But Margarito wouldn't let up, despite his face being completely swollen.

In the end, Pacquiao came out victorious, winning every round. Unfortunately as a result of the fight, Margarito will have surgery on Tuesday at Dallas Methodist Hospital to repair a fractured right eye socket, said promoter Bob Arum. Arum explained the surgery can't be performed until the swelling on the eye has reduced, so they'll have to wait. Having claimed titles in eight divisions, Pacquiao stands as the best boxer in the world.
