"The Redbull Stratos" took 5 years of prep that was sponsored by Redbull. It involved former Austrian military parachutist, Felix Baumgartner, diving from a balloon-lifted capsule 24 miles up in an attempt to break the sound barrier. The operation was a success that had Felix setting a few Guinness world records in the process. These pictures documented his momentous achievement.
